While I was able to record and play using Cubase & VST Editor, noticed that the Yamaha MOX6/MOX8 Port 4 was not in the MIDI DEVICE SETUP list (Ports 1-3, 5 were listed as expected). Closed VST Editor, opened Cubase, selected Yamaha MOX template,was able to synchronize MOX/VST Editor, record (Quick Setup 1 DAW REC) and playback as expected. Closed BiaB, opened VST Editor Standalone, got “Port Open Error”ĥ. Next day, when opening Band-in-a-Box ( no other programs open), BiaB messaged that “the driver’s working, but the Midi Output is being used by another program.")Ĥ. At the end of the session, closed everything down (forget the order closed programs) and shut everything down (MOX last)ģ. I assume BiaB Port 1 Midi Output was working as BiaB was accessing MOX higher banks as expected.Ģ. With Cubase and the VSTi Editor open, I opened BiaB (interfaces with Yamaha MOX midi input/output via Port 1) and was told that I needed a different ASIO driver, so I choose ASIO4ALL.
